Shutter Happy

Yesterday, my brother Sean sarcastically said to me, "Did I ever tell you how much I love having a photographer as a sister?" I found it amusing, as I do with most things that come out of his mouth. Especially because I know I can be annoying when I get shutter happy. Then tonight as I was looking through all the photos I took yesterday of the family, I stopped at this one of my sister. I imagined her saying the same thing to me and it cracked me up. I'm sure I annoy her with my camera as well, but she just keeps it to herself <3 

National Homebrew Day 2013

This past Saturday (May 4th) was National Homebrew Day. John and I went to a local Homebrew Festival for the 2nd year in a row. It's so laid-back and fun. Although how could beer tasting and good music not be fun?

We got to hang out in John's friend's tent and I got to watch John "co-brew" his first batch of beer.

When he wasn't brewing, we'd walk around and fill our glasses with all kinds of beer concoctions. My favorite was a Honey Pale Ale and both of our least favorites was one that tasted like shrimp water. I don't remember the name of it. Now I absolutely LOVE shrimp, but this was weird.

I'm looking forward to trying the two beers they made that day, especially "Kings Highway." Hopefully that will be some time in August!

This is kind of a dream come true. I'm not sure how long it'll be up, but our elephant coasters are featured on the front homepage of Etsy.

Traffic is starting to pour into our shop :-)
